LOS ANGELES, CA – While many artists have had to deal with fans throwing various items on stage, Drake experienced a rather unusual incident during his recent concert. The rapper, who has been accustomed to women throwing bras on stage during his latest tour, was taken aback when a fan decided to toss a pair of boxer shorts his way.
The event took place at the Kia Forum on Tuesday night (August 15). As Drake was performing, a variety of items were thrown onto the stage. However, it was the “disgusting” boxers that seemed to have caught the rapper’s attention and not in a good way.
Expressing his initial joy about the concert, Drake said, “This is amazing. This has been the best night of my life.” But his mood quickly changed when he noticed the boxers, adding, “This was disgusting by the way. Somebody threw some boxers up here. That was foul, alright.”
The incident was captured on video and has since been circulating on social media.
While the boxer incident was certainly unexpected, it wasn’t the only notable moment from Drake’s recent concerts. Just two days prior, on Sunday night (August 13), Drake took a moment to address the audience about his close friend and producer, Noah “40” Shebib. The rapper expressed concern for Shebib’s health and asked the audience to send positive energy his way. “My brother hasn’t been feeling well,” Drake shared. “I want to send him some love from this whole building because I believe that energy is exchanged. My brother 40 he hasn’t been feeling well lately.”
In related news, rapper The Game commented on the bra-throwing trend at Drake’s concerts, making it clear that he has no intention of following suit. “I Don’t Be Doing No Tricking,” he stated, distancing himself from the trend.
It remains to be seen how Drake will handle such incidents in the future, but for now, fans are advised to keep their clothing on.
